DTF (Direct to Film)
Print digitally using DTF on textile garment.
DTF (Direct-to-Film), a category of digital printing, often contrasted with DTG (Direct-to-Garment), is highly efficient for both small custom batches and larger production runs. Unlike DTG, which applies ink directly onto the garment, DTF prints designs onto a special film that is then transferred to the fabric. This allows for application on a broader range of textiles, including challenging materials like polyester and nylon.
However, DTF prints are heavier and less breathable for larger designs and do not support semi-transparent gradients due to the white base layer used in the process, which only allows for clear, solid borders. This makes DTF ideal for vibrant, durable designs suitable for various garment products such as T-shirts, sportswear, and fashion accessories.
